Preview: Lebanon Blue Devils vs. Mount Juliet Golden Bears
Lebanon has enjoyed a five-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Mount Juliet Golden Bears at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
Last Tuesday, things could have been worse for Lebanon, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 56-37 loss to Blackman. While losing is never fun, Lebanon can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 233rd, while Blackman is ranked 63rd).
Meanwhile, Mount Juliet's five-game losing streak came to an end on Monday. They skirted past Smyrna 47-45. The victory was just what Mount Juliet needed coming off of a 63-34 loss in their prior matchup.
Lebanon has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season. As for Mount Juliet, their victory bumped their record up to 2-7.
Lebanon didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Mount Juliet when the teams last played two weeks ago, but they still walked away with a 47-41 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lebanon since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
