Baseball Recap: Torrington Comes Up Short

Torrington lost against Ansonia back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Raiders fell just short of the Chargers by a score of 6-5. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Torrington's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Ansonia, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Torrington will square off against Wilby at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ansonia, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Seymour at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Chargers surely won't give up without a fight.
