Basketball Recap: Ket'acik and Aapalluk Memorial Takes a Loss

Ket'acik and Aapalluk Memorial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 69-29 to the Lewis Angapak Blue Jays, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Carayiit were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-9.

Lewis Angapak's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emma Friendly, who made all 10 shots she took for 23 points. The match was Friendly's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Shalisa McDalton, who made all 8 shots she took racking up 16 points.

Ket'acik and Aapalluk Memorial's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Lewis Angapak, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-5.

Ket'acik and Aapalluk Memorial didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 87-1 loss against Z John Williams on the 1st. Lewis Angapak does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
