Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Summer Thomason and Amani Barner Lead Myers Park to Victory

Myers Park entered their tilt with South Mecklenburg on Friday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 34-29 W against the South Mecklenburg Sabres. This was a revenge game for the Mustangs: when they faced off against the Sabres back in January, they had to take a 46-36 defeat.

Myers Park was led to victory by Amani Barner and Summer Thomason. Barner went 5-for-8 en route to 16 points, while Thomason posted 12 points and four steals. The dominant performance also gave Barner a new career-high in field goal percentage (63%).
