Baseball Recap: Peotone Takes a Loss

Peotone was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 20-1 to the Coal City Coalers. The Blue Devils were not able to make up for their defeat to the Coalers from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Peotone saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Leitelt, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-1.

Peotone's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Coal City, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.

While Peotone had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
