Basketball Recap: Bel Air Highlanders vs. Parkland Matadors

In what's become a running theme this season, the Bel Air Highlanders gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They really took it to Parkland for the full four quarters, racking up a 63-33 victory at home. With Bel Air ahead 33-12 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Bel Air's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Adalyn Palomo, who scored 24 points along with three steals. Palomo hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Saldana, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and five steals.

Bel Air has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-4 record this season. As for Parkland, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-21.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bel Air will take on the Conquistadores at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Del Valle will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 900th, while the Highlanders are ranked 375th). As for Parkland, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Scorpions at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
