Basketball Recap: Alakanuk Takes a Loss

Alakanuk was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a blow against the Chevak Comets, falling 68-18. The Braves were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-12.

It was another big night for Kali Hill, who posted 22 points for Chevak. Shaneil Slats was another key player, putting up eight points.

Alakanuk's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Chevak, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Alakanuk has already played their next match, a 33-30 loss against Tuluksak on the 30th. As for Chevak, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-41 win against Chaputnguak on the 30th.
