Dacula has no trouble against Fort Walton Beach

On Friday, everything went Dacula's's way against Fort Walton Beach as Dacula made off with a 70-50 victory. Given Dacula's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 22nd in Georgia, while Fort Walton Beach is ranked 404th in Florida), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, Fort Walton Beach still got an impressive performance from Kamari Bowers, who scored 14 points along with three steals. Those three steals set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Ivison, who scored seven points.

The win makes it two in a row for Dacula and bumps their season record up to 13-2. As for Fort Walton Beach, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dacula and Collins Hill will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 5th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Fort Walton Beach will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Navarre at 7:00 p.m. on January 9th.
