Soccer Game Preview: Liberty vs. Eldred

The Liberty Redhawks will head out on the road to take on the Eldred Yellowjackets at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Liberty's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Liberty is headed into Thursday's match following a draw, the team's first since September 6. They and Beacon finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw on Friday.

Meanwhile, after soaring to nine goals the game before, Eldred was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They fell just short of Monticello by a score of 2-1.

Eldred's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. With that draw, Liberty's record moves to 5-4-2.

Liberty took their win against Eldred in their previous matchup back in September by a conclusive 4-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Redhawks since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
