Softball Recap: Spring Hill Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Spring Hill duked it out with Henderson on Tuesday. The Panthers came up short against the Lions, falling 11-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost four in a row.

Peyton Dees made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. She also hit a triple, marking her first of the season.

Spring Hill's loss dropped their record down to 15-11-1. As for Henderson, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Spring Hill is set to challenge their familiar foe Kilgore at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Henderson will square off against rival Gilmer at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Lions are on a five-game streak of home wins, the Buckeyes a five-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
