Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Helena). They blew past the Chilton County Tigers 61-23 on Tuesday. Given the Huskies' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 83rd, while the Tigers are ranked 361st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Helena pushed their record up to 16-10 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.8 points per game. As for Chilton County, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-17.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Helena will square off against Oak Mountain at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Chilton County, they are taking a road trip to challenge Wetumpka at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
