St. Mary's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over The Colorado Springs School Kodiaks. The win continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Kodiaks: they've now won six in a row.

While St. Mary's won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-22.

Julia Lucero paced St. Mary's offense, picking up seven kills. Lucero got some help from Julia Clieves and her 22 assists. Morgan Kelty controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

St. Mary's victory bumped their record up to 8-11. As for The Colorado Springs School, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-7 record this season.
