Baseball Recap: West Geauga Comes Up Short

Perry hit West Geauga with a four-run sixth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Wolverines took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pirates. The Wolverines were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pirates apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2025.

West Geauga's loss dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Perry, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

While West Geauga had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
