There's no place like home for Spackenkill, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They enjoyed a cozy 65-47 win over the Onteora Eagles on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won eight in a row.

Despite the defeat, Onteora had strong showings from Ja'Meer Maize, who made all 6 shots he took for 15 points, and Ryan Burgher, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 12 rebounds. Burgher is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last 12 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Brenden Lomoe-Thompson, who posted ten points in addition to six boards and five assists.

Spackenkill's win bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Onteora, their loss dropped their record down to 14-5.

Spackenkill didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 70-57 victory against Rhinebeck on the 24th. Onteora does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
