Softball Recap: Arroyo Grande Comes Up Short

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last five times Arroyo Grande and Righetti have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Friday. The Eagles fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, with their most recent defeat being a 6-5 loss back in April.

Jaedyn Valdez (2025) was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one double.

Arroyo Grande's loss dropped their record down to 7-17. As for Righetti, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-6.

Arroyo Grande has already played their next matchup, a 7-2 win against Cabrillo on the 5th. As for Righetti, they will square off against Lompoc at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Braves' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Warriors' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
