Yough and Southmoreland are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2019, but likely not for long. The Cougars will host the Scotties at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

It was a proper cat-fight when Yough duked it out with Bentworth on Monday. The Cougars came up short against the Bearcats, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, Yough can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 251st, while Bentworth are ranked 34th).

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Southmoreland's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mt. Pleasant.

Yough's defeat dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Southmoreland, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9.

Yough skirted past Southmoreland 3-2 in their previous meeting back in September. Do the Cougars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Scotties turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
