Baseball Recap: Grace Prep Takes a Loss

After flying high against Trinity Leadership on Friday, Grace Prep came back down to earth. The Grace Prep Lions took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oklahoma City Broncos HomeSchool Broncos on Friday.

Colt Howard was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

Grace Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Oklahoma City Broncos HomeSchool, they now have a winning record of 1-0-1.

Coming up, Grace Prep will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Shelton at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The last three games Shelton has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Oklahoma City Broncos HomeSchool, they will challenge Pantego Christian at 11:45 p.m. on Saturday. Pantego Christian will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Oklahoma City Broncos HomeSchool surely won't give up without a fight.
