Football Recap: Kingswood Oxford Piles Up the Points Against Worcester Academy

Kingswood Oxford got themselves on the board against Worcester Academy on Saturday, but Worcester Academy never followed suit. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Hilltoppers 32-0. Considering the Wyverns have won five contests by more than 20 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Justin Morle continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 170 yards and four scores. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in September.

Kingswood Oxford's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB five times. In that department, Jason Mathews was the leader with two sacks.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Kingswood Oxford, bringing their record up to 7-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 36.5 points over those games. As for Worcester Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Kingswood Oxford is set to challenge their familiar foe Canterbury School at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Wyverns 14.6, the Saints 12.5) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Worcester Academy will take on rival New Hampton School at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
