Baseball Recap: Carver Vo-Tech Extends Winning Streak to Three

Carver Vo-Tech entered their tilt with Forest Park on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Foresters 11-1. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Shawn White and Samuel Rojas were a major factor no matter where they played. Throwing, White pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Meanwhile, Rojas tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single hit any time he's pitched this season. At the plate, White scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Rojas went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, five RBI, and three runs. That's the most stolen bases White has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Levar Moore was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Moore is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

Carver Vo-Tech always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .533 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Carver Vo-Tech's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Forest Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
