Recap: Linden Eagles vs. Mason Bulldogs
The Linden Eagles''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. Their rough 45-20 loss to Mason might stick with them for a while. Linden was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-0.
When it comes to explaining why Linden lost, one person who can't be blamed is Michael Bush. Despite the final result, he rushed for 108 yards, and also threw for 124 yards and a touchdown. Bush really tore up the turf during one magnificent 89-yard run.
Linden's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 4-6. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 9-1 Goodrich and 9-1 Goodrich (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 76.9% over those games). As for Mason, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
Linden does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Mason will be playing at home against DeWitt at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. DeWitt is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
