Softball Game Preview: Trinity Hillers vs. Bethel Park Black Hawks

The Trinity Hillers will square off against the Bethel Park Black Hawks at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Trinity barely beat Peters Township the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Hillers' pitchers stepped up to hand the Indians an 8-0 shutout on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Hillers in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday Bethel Park's undefeated season almost came to an end. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 7-6 W against Connellsville.

Bethel Park pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of three runs across that stretch. As for Trinity, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Everything went Trinity's way against Bethel Park in their previous meeting back in May of 2023, as Trinity made off with a 7-0 victory. Will the Hillers repeat their success, or do the Black Hawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
