Recap: Verde Valley Coyotes vs. American Heritage Academy
The Verde Valley Coyotes waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with four straight wins but they left with five. They blew past American Heritage Academy 58-35. Verde Valley has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 23 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Angelo Ayuel, who dropped a triple-double on ten points, 11 rebounds, and 11 blocks. Zee Dickey was another key contributor, scoring 20 points.
Verde Valley's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.8 points per game. As for American Heritage Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-9.
Verde Valley will head out on the road to face off against the Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Orme focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 last Monday. As for American Heritage Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the at 5:00 p.m.
