Baseball Recap: Pacelli Comes Up Short

Pacelli fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Pittsville on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 5-3. The Cardinals have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Malise Beduhn made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-5. Another player making a difference was Lucas Haemmerle, who went 2-for-6 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Pacelli's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pacelli will venture away from home to square off against Wild Rose at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Pittsville, they will head out to take on Royall at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
