Baseball Recap: Holden Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Holden had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came out on top against the Lawson Cardinals by a score of 10-7. This was payback for the Eagles, who suffered an 11-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Holden's win bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Lawson, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 19-3 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Holden will head out to challenge Warrensburg at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lawson, they will square off against Cameron at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
