Preview: Bowie Jackrabbits vs. Jacksboro Tigers

Bowie is 10-0 against Jacksboro since January of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Bowie Jackrabbits will look to defend their home court against the Jacksboro Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Tuesday, Bowie came up short against Iowa Park and fell 43-36. Bowie has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Tucker Jones, who scored nine points along with ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Braden Rhyne, who scored four points along with five rebounds and two steals.

Meanwhile, Jacksboro pushed their score all the way to 55 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 63-55 to Vernon. Jacksboro has struggled against Vernon recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Bowie has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-14 record this season. As for Jacksboro, their loss dropped their record down to 8-11.

Bowie came out on top in a nail-biter against Jacksboro in their previous matchup on January 2nd, sneaking past 38-35. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Jacksboro's Cannon Valenzuela, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Bowie still be able to contain him? There's only one way to find out.
