Softball Recap: Slidell Comes Up Short

After flying high against Berwick last Saturday, Slidell came back down to earth. The Tigers lost 13-3 to the Live Oak Eagles on Monday. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Slidell's loss dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Live Oak, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-13 record this season.

Slidell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Live Oak, they are taking a road trip to challenge St. Thomas More at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
