Basketball Recap: Battle Lake Comes Up Short

Battle Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt an 83-43 defeat at the hands of the Lake Park-Audubon Raiders. While losing is never fun, the Battlers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 299th, while the Raiders are ranked 135th).

Battle Lake's loss dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Lake Park-Audubon, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season.

Looking ahead, Battle Lake will square off against Henning at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lake Park-Audubon, they will head out on the road to take on Brandon/Evansville at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Lake Park-Audubon's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games.
