Volleyball Game Preview: Cypress Bay Lightning vs. Flanagan Falcons

The Cypress Bay Lightning will square off against the Flanagan Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Monday, Cypress Bay earned a 3-1 win over Somerset Academy. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lightning.

Cypress Bay walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 20-25, 25-20, 25-16.

Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and Flanagan had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against Cooper City by a score of 3-1 on Monday.

Flanagan found their leader in sophomore Daniel Chang, who had 20 digs and three assists. Chang has been hot recently, having posted 17 or more digs the last four times he's played.

Cypress Bay's win bumped their record up to 16-6. As for Flanagan, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-10 record this season.

Cypress Bay skirted past Flanagan 3-2 in their previous meeting two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lightning since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
