Soccer Game Preview: Mountain Empire vs. High Tech CV

The Mountain Empire Redhawks will venture away from home to square off against the High Tech CV Bruins at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Mountain Empire is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Health Sciences just ended the team's three-match winning streak on Monday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Serpents.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, High Tech CV was forced to settle for a draw. They and Ocean View Christian finished up their contest with a 1-1 draw on Tuesday.

High Tech CV's goal came courtesy of Alejandro Sanchez, who's now up to ten this season.

Mountain Empire's loss dropped their record down to 8-5-2. High Tech CV's draw gives them a new season record of 8-6-1.

Mountain Empire couldn't quite get it done against High Tech CV in their previous matchup two weeks ago as they fell 4-2. Can the Redhawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
