Volleyball Recap: Decatur Central Victorious

Decatur Central's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Whiteland Warriors by a score of 3-1. This was a revenge game for the Hawks: when they faced off against the Warriors back in April, they had to take a 2-0 defeat.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-20, 22-25, 25-20.

Mike Norton paced Decatur Central's offense, picking up 15 kills. Norton got some help from Hudson Smith and his 14 assists. Finally, Norton was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high five blocks.

Decatur Central's record is now 4-9. As for Whiteland, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-20.

Looking ahead, Decatur Central will venture away from home to square off against University at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Whiteland, they will challenge Jeffersonville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Red Devils will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight.
