Basketball Recap: Ferris Takes a Loss

The matchup between Ferris and Mead on Tuesday hardly resembled the 30-28 effort from their previous meeting. The Ferris Saxons fell 72-62 to the Mead Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Saxons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 179th, while the Panthers are ranked 46th).

Ferris has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Mead, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-3.

Ferris will welcome Lewis & Clark at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ferris has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Mead, they will head out to face off against Shadle Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mead knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 contests -- so hopefully Shadle Park likes a good challenge.
