Camden Hills had won three straight at home, but on Monday they bumped their record up to 5-3 to make it four. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Hampden Broncos, sneaking past 2-1. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Maya Stone spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

As for Hampden, they moved to 6-3 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. The match marked their lowest-scoring game so far this season.

On Hampden's side, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kiera Gabric, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Coincidentally, Camden Hills and Hampden will both be playing Brewer the next time they take the field. The Windjammers will head out to face the Witches at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Broncos will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
