Basketball Recap: North Putnam's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak on the Road

North Putnam was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 45-40 heartbreaker at the hands of the Monrovia Bulldogs. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.

Hayden Mccloud had an outrageously good game for Monrovia as he dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 boards. Those 20 points gave Mccloud a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Hudson McCloud, who posted nine points.

North Putnam's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 0-4. As for Monrovia, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

North Putnam didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 43-38 defeat against Sullivan on the 13th. As for Monrovia, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 54-51 loss against Speedway on the 13th.
