Kennard-Dale and Susquehannock are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2018, but likely not for long. The Rams will venture away from home to challenge the Warriors at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. Kennard-Dale is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.
Kennard-Dale took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They walked away with an 8-5 win over Eastern York. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Golden Knights recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Kennard-Dale let Noah Hoffer and Micah Smith run wild. Hoffer went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI, while Smith went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That's the most hits Smith has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Chenoweth, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Meanwhile, Susquehannock came up short against New Oxford on Wednesday and fell 6-2. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Susquehannock saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Krebs, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one double.
Kennard-Dale's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.6 runs over those games. As for Susquehannock, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Kennard-Dale has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Susquehannock struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Kennard-Dale took their win against Susquehannock in their previous meeting back in April by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
