Softball Recap: Romulus Eagles vs. Annapolis Cougars

Romulus extended their losing streak to three on Monday, dropping them down to 2-6. They lost 23-2 to the Annapolis Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-2 on Monday.

As for Annapolis, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. The result was nothing new for Annapolis, who have now won nine games by ten runs or more so far this season.

For Annapolis' part, Lexi Cadzow made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those eight strikeouts gave Cadzow a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
