Basketball Recap: Canton's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Canton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 44-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Shelby Raiders. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Canton's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-7. As for North Shelby, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Canton will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Hamilton/Warsaw at 6:00 p.m. on January 27th. North Shelby also won't see the court for a while: their next match is against Novinger at 6:00 p.m. on February 3rd.
