Preview: Veritas Christian Academy vs. Trinity Christian
Veritas Christian Academy is 10-0 against Trinity Christian since December of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. Meanwhile, Trinity Christian put the finishing touches on their third blowout victory of the season on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 53-15 victory over Varsity Opponent on the road. With Trinity Christian ahead 31-9 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Trinity Christian's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Ryan Khan, who scored nine points along with 11 rebounds and eight assists, and David Tweedie, who scored 18 points along with two steals. That's the first time this season that Khan posted eight or more assists. Another player making a difference was Jamal Khan, who scored eight points.
Veritas Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Trinity Christian, they pushed their record up to 7-3 with that win, which was their third straight on the road.
Keep an eye on the arc in Monday's match: Veritas Christian Academy have made nailing deep shots look easy this year this season, having only averaged 4 threes per game. It's a different story for Trinity Christian, though, as they've been averaging only 3.4 threes per game. Given Veritas Christian Academy's sizeable advantage in that area, Trinity Christian will need to find a way to close that gap.
