Basketball Recap: Calvary Christian Academy Gets the Win

Calvary Christian Academy won the last time they faced Faith Christian Academy, and Geren Knight did his part to make sure it happened again. Calvary Christian Academy were the clear victor by a 63-43 margin over the Faith Christian Academy Falcons on Friday thanks in part to Knight, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 12 boards. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Calvary Christian Academy's points.

Elijah Ziler also deserves some recognition as he scored his first points of the season. What's more, he also racked up four rebounds, the most he's had since back in January of 2024.

Despite the loss, Faith Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from JP Harris, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine boards. Isaac Stambaugh was another key player, putting up nine points.

The victory got Calvary Christian Academy back to even at 5-5. As for Faith Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.

Calvary Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 53-34 defeat against Morgantown Christian Academy on the 20th. Faith Christian Academy has also already played their next game, a 60-58 loss against Hancock on the 23rd.
