Soccer Game Preview: Willow Glen vs. King's Academy

After a short break, it's finally time for some more action. The Willow Glen Rams will welcome the King's Academy Knights at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Willow Glen's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Willow Glen fell victim to Notre Dame and their airtight defense two weeks ago. They lost 4-0 to the Regents.

Meanwhile, King's Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch two weeks ago as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were one goals away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Presentation. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 701st, while the Panthers are ranked 240th).

Willow Glen's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4-1. As for King's Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4-1.

Willow Glen beat King's Academy 2-0 in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Will Willow Glen repeat their success, or does King's Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
