Softball Recap: River Forest Ingots vs. Lake Station Edison Fighting Eagles
River Forest won the last time they faced Lake Station Edison and things went their way on Monday too. The Ingots put the hurt on the Fighting Eagles with a sharp 17-2 win. The Ingots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by ten runs or more this season.
Lindee Trezak made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with two runs. Those two runs gave her a new career-high.
