Recap: Lewis-Palmer Rangers vs. Vista Ridge Wolves

The Lewis-Palmer Rangers had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.8 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 47-46 win over Vista Ridge. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Lewis-Palmer also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.

Lewis-Palmer had a senior duo take command as Brooke Lordino scored 16 points along with five rebounds and Kendall Lane scored nine points along with 11 rebounds.

Vista Ridge's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brooklyn Kaiser, who scored 16 points. Kaiser scored a full 34.8% of Vista Ridge's points, the seventh time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Jasmine Byers, who scored nine points along with three steals.

Lewis-Palmer's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Vista Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lewis-Palmer will take on Pueblo East at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pueblo East will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 205th, while Lewis-Palmer is ranked 60th). As for Vista Ridge, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Douglas County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Douglas County is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
