For the first time this season, Pottsboro will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will host the Life Oak Cliff Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

As a matter of fact, Pottsboro put up the most points they have all season on Friday. They walked away with a 42-33 win over Muenster. The victory continues a trend for the Cardinals in their matchups with the Hornets: they've now won five in a row.

Phillips threw for 375 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 11.4 yards per attempt while Washington gained 254 total yards and five touchdowns. That's the most passing yards Phillips has posted since back in October of 2024. Life Oak Cliff's leading receiver Sukora ' Sip' Cooper Jr was Phillips' top target yet again, picking up 181 receiving yards and one score.

Life Oak Cliff was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 300 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Life Oak Cliff's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Pottsboro, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 3-1.
