After a string of six wins, South Stokes's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Stokes Wildcats. The contest marked the Sauras' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

South Stokes' loss dropped their record down to 11-5. As for West Stokes, they pushed their record up to 11-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.

Coming up, South Stokes will host Surry Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for West Stokes, they will venture away from home to square off against High Point Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cougars have averaged an impressive 8.7 runs per game this season.
