Zeeland East is a perfect 6-0 against Holland since September of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Zeeland East is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Michigan's top teams: Holland Christian, who was ranked 19th at the time (Zeeland East was ranked 15th). The Chix fell just short of the Maroons by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Chix's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Holland came up short against Spring Lake on Tuesday and fell 3-1. The Dutch haven't had much luck with the Lakers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Spring Lake scored at least 17 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 23-25, 25-18, 25-23.

Zeeland East's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 17-3. As for Holland, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10-1.
