Reid Garrett put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in March on Friday. He struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits (and only one walk). He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Caledonia is 8-2 when he allows at most one walk, but 8-13 otherwise.

Garrett's effort led Caledonia over Itawamba Agricultural and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled on Saturday.
