Basketball Recap: West Campus Skates Past Valley with Ease

West Campus won the last time they faced Valley and things went their way on Wednesday too. The West Campus Warriors blew past the Valley Vikings 68-41. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 571st, while the Vikings are ranked 1256th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

West Campus' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Edmund Michalski led the charge by dropping a double-double on 23 points and ten boards. Michalski has been hot, having posted eight or more rebounds the last five times he's played. Zach Villanueva was another key player, going 9 of 18 on his way to 19 points and six steals.

West Campus' record is now 8-9. As for Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 3-15.

West Campus has already played their next match, a 92-52 victory against Armijo on the 24th. As for Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, an 80-30 defeat against Burbank on the 24th.
