Softball Recap: Clear Fork Has No Trouble Against Marion Harding

Clear Fork won the last time they faced Marion Harding and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Colts blew past the Presidents 12-2. Considering the Colts have won five contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Miley Shafer looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Hailly Thrush was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Katrina Rogers was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one triple.

The Redmen have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.38 runs per game on average), something the Presidents will no doubt try to take advantage of.
