Volleyball Game Preview: Ottawa Pirates vs. LaSalle-Peru Cavaliers

Ottawa hasn't had much luck against LaSalle-Peru recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, Ottawa didn't have quite enough to beat Morris and fell 2-1.

Ottawa started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-12, 25-8.

Meanwhile, LaSalle-Peru had already won 17 in a row and they went ahead and made it 18 on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Golden Warriors by a score of 2-0.

While LaSalle-Peru won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-23.

LaSalle-Peru's win bumped their record up to 20-1. As for Ottawa, their loss dropped their record down to 6-11-2.

Ottawa couldn't quite get it done against LaSalle-Peru in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Pirates avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
