Eupora came tearing into Saturday's game with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.9 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Bruce Trojans by a score of 9-5. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Jacob Crimm made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Crimm was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high.

Eupora's win was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-9. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Bruce, their loss dropped their record down to 7-14.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eupora will challenge Nanih Waiya at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Warriors have now posted at least ten runs in their last four matchups. As for Bruce, they will square off against North Pontotoc at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Vikings will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Trojans surely won't give up without a fight.
