Football Game Preview: Pioneer Pioneers vs. Huron River Rats

The Pioneer Pioneers will challenge the Huron River Rats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pioneer is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Pioneer was just a hair shy of victory and fell 28-27 to Lincoln.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Huron, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They blew past Skyline 28-0 on Friday. The River Rats haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

The victory got Huron back to even at 2-2. As for Pioneer, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Pioneer couldn't quite finish off Huron in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 and fell 28-26. Can the Pioneers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
